Chalupny agrees to terms with Atlanta
One day after agreeing to terms with goalkeeper Hope Solo, defender Tina Ellertson and forward Eniola Aluko, the Atlanta Beat have agreed to terms with its fourth former Saint Louis Athletica player, midfielder Lori Chalupny.“Lori has the ability to play several roles and brings a wealth of experience to the Beat,” Head Coach Gareth O’Sullivan said.Chalupny captained Saint Louis to a second place regular season finish in 2009 and was voted a 2009 WPS All-Star. Although she has participated in every minute for Athletica in 2010 (six games, scoring one goal and adding an assist), she is yet to be cleared by the U.S. Women's National Team after suffering concussion-like symptoms.Defender Tracy Hamm was released to make room on the roster for Chalupny.
Lori Chalupny is headed to Atlanta to join some familiar faces.
