Umbro unveiled the new Canada kits in Toronto on Thursday. The women debut the kit on Feb. 28 against Scotland in the Cyprus Cup and the men debut it one day later in a friendly at Armenia. 2012 marks the Centennial celebration for the Canadian Soccer Association.
The kits are shown below. Thoughts? The big question for the women: Will there actually be a women’s cut? Because these jerseys look like the old school baggy polyester kits in this picture.
The nehru collar neckline is atrocious, and the overall look is boring and uninspired. Did a design team seriously slave over this for weeks? Umbro should be embarrassed. For an Olympic year the team deserves way better than this.
